It's in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. This is Shasta! A loveable ball of energy with the most bubbly personality. Shasta had a rough go at life with some skin issues and neglect. She was found with awful skin infections and almost no hair. She now has almost a full coat with some thin patches of hair that is starting to grow back in. She gets a medicated bath 1-2 times a week and is very tolerant and easy to bathe. Her most favorite part of her bath is being rubbed down with the towel afterwards to dry off. As her hair comes in, her medicated baths can be less frequent. She also loves all the extra treats and food toppings she gets to help her skin/coat and make her nice and shiny. Shasta definitely has a lot of energy and loves playing with her foster siblings. She'd do best in a house with a dog to match her energy that loves to wrestle and doesn't mind their personal space being invaded. She doesn't mind the cats and will try to play with them but listens when told no and to leave them be. Shasta might be too much for real little kids and sometimes is nervous around them so she would do best with older children. She rides amazing in the car and will usually just lay down and sleep. We are working on the house training, she doesn't really let anyone know when she has to go out but does well with scheduled potty breaks. She does well in her kennel and doesn't have any accidents but will bark or whine for 5-10 minutes when first put in it and then settles down and sleeps through the night. Shasta still has a lot of puppy in her and like a toddler, she has to be watched at all times or kenneled as she does like to get into things that aren't hers, but is learning what's okay and not okay and does listen to the word no very well. Shasta would be great for any family that enjoys the outdoors as her favorite things are to be laying in the grass basking in the sun and sitting in a lawn chair around a camp fire. Shasta does walk really nice on a leash also. Shasta will be spayed August 15th and then will be ready for her forever home. If you think your home would be a good fit, apply to meet her today!
