Name: Maggie Location: Paso Robles, CA Born: Feb 2022 Weight: 60LB Our family recently adopted Maggie, our 18 month old female Great Pyrenees/Queensland (or possibly Aussie) mix. She's spayed, UTD on shots, and on Heartguard. Unfortunately, we did did not know enough about LGBs upon taking her in. We live in a small house in town with close neighbors with dogs. She has typical GP traits and personality. Absolutely sweet and loyal with our family (me, my wife, and 9 and 11 YO daughters. Patrols the backyard periodically barking at neighbor dogs and other perceived threats. She is somewhat reacitive with other dogs because we suspect the family we got her from did not socialize her very much. She does not get along with our 2 outdoor cats, who don't come around much any more. She walks well on a leash. We consistently take pleasant walks twice a day. She's also crate trained but we feel she spends too much time in the crate to minimize the stimulation of the backyard. We have worked on training some basic commands and she learns quickly. We have been working on reducing the reactiveness while on walks and it is improving. We are currently enrolled in a feisty fido class to give us some more tools to work with. She has made great improvements. We also introduced her to a new younger dog, Ruby, in our house recently. They became friends after just a few days. She now enjoys the companionship. We have decided to try to rehome her to someone who can provide her with a more compatible situation (larger yard, less stimulation, and possibly a LGB job to do). We love her and know the shelter is not a good avenue for her breed. If you or someone you know is interested, please reach out. We live on the central coast of CA and are willing to travel for the right fit for Maggie. Thank you for your consideration. More photos available upon request. Tim
