About Gaara

This dog will require patience and an active individual with no small children or cats. Requires anxiety meds for vet visits. We got Gaara from a family member after they stated on Facebook that they would be taking him to the pound where, according to some dog training professionals and a couple vets, he would likely have been euthanized. We saw his face and couldn't let that happen to him. He is about 2 years old, we don't have his birthdate or even know exactly how old he is, that is an educated guesstimate made by his vet. We've had him for about a year now and have grown to love him. He is a sweet dog and can be a lot of fun when he's in element. He loves people and other dogs and is super friendly. He doesn't bark too often, only when there is something he really wants or there's someone at the door. He is fully house, crate, and ecollar trained. We spent a lot of time and money getting him to where he is now. We settled on ecollar training as we discovered that when it counts, he did not care for treats or praise and recall with a dog that has impulse like him is really important.
