Tibby was found as a stray on July 13th. She is the sweetest girl, but her owners never came forward. She is fully vaccinated and will be spayed and microchipped before placement. Her heart-worm test was negative, and she has been on heart-worm preventative since her heart-worm test. We thought she had a spot in a rescue, but they decided to decline her a spot last minute because of some resource guarding issues she is having with other dogs in her foster home. These issues have lead to some fights. She is currently being kept separately from the foster's dogs, and we believe she should go to a home without other dogs or a home with people experienced in behavior modification. She is progressing very well with leash walking, basic behaviors, crate training, potty training, and muzzle training. She has NEVER shown any resource guarding behaviors or other negative behaviors toward a person. We imagine she would be good with children but should be supervised with them. She has been friendly with cats but can get a little rough with them if they engage in play with her. This sweet girl is SO excited to find her forever humans to cuddle up with every night!
