About Stormy

Introducing Stormy! This adorable hound boy is 43 pounds and 9 months of pure love! Stormy was found with his brothers living in a rough area outside, even being shot at on a few occasions! He doesn't hold it against people though, as he's a lover at heart. He's a gentle lowrider, loves playing with dogs and children, and even gets along well with cats. He lives happily in a third floor apartment with daily walks, family naps, and toys. If you're looking for a cuddlebug who enjoys long walks by the river, sharing spoonfuls of peanut butter, and chewing on a good bone, Stormy is ready to be your new best friend :) Housebreaking, Crate-Training, and Commands Stormy has proven to be an eager and quick learner in his foster home! He is food-motivated (but does not guard), which makes training easy. Stormy is eager to please and enjoys learning new commands. He is housetrained and crate trained, and signals his need to go potty by whining at the front door. Behavior around other Dogs, Cats, and Kids: Stormy has been around kids and adores them! He is gentle with all children, and is excited to play with people his size. He is also very friendly with other dogs, strangers in the home/on walks, and does well with cats. Behavior around People: Stormy loves making new friends! He initiates interactions with people out in town, and is great as a patio or brewery companion. This sweet boy loves everyone and is convinced everyone loves him - he may just be right about that. Exercise Needs: Stormy lives in a third-floor apartment (so no fenced yard), and does just fine. He enjoys daily walks around the neighborhood, and keeps up well on regular walks by the river. He can certainly keep up with an energetic partner, but does not require excessive exercise to be happy/well-behaved.
