About Dawn

Dawn today is almost a totally different dog than the one who first came into our shelter as a stray back in December 2022. She was pregnant and her mama dog duties made her wary of having people near her and her babies. She had nine puppies who she took great care of, and she helped them all find loving homes. Once Dawn was off mama dog duty, she was able to focus more on herself. She discovered that people are actually really great, and she really enjoys getting attention from them. She's so excited when someone comes to visit her now. She's super sweet and friendly. Dawn has always had a soft spot for treats, and that just seems to be growing. That treat motivation has helped her learn to sit on command to impress potential adopters. Dawn has an average energy level. She's prone to the zoomies and loves to run around, but she's also happy to settle down and be pet. Her zoomies are really something to watch - especially when her path takes her right through a doggy pool! She loves to splash and play, and she'll even lay down in the water to cool down for a while. Dawn LOVES pool time. Dawn is a 3YO Lab mix who came into the shelter as a stray on 12/27/22. She weighs 58 lbs.
