Valley is a purebred Anatolian Shepherd, she is two years plus a few months old.She is a very sweet girl and the only reason I said human compatibility unknown is because she loves everyone but she gets extremely excited when she meets people and we have not been able to correct her jumping although she usually calms down after 15-20 minutes but obviously this can be a big problem around small humans especially. I love her dearly but we have come to terms that we do not have the space or time for her that she needs and the stress of that is becoming too difficult. I am willing to have her spayed if that is an adoption deterrent, it just hasn't happened yet. She needs room to run around and she is hyper alert and gets very noisy when she becomes aware of things she can't investigate. She is affectionate, has an adorable quirky personality, loves to play tug and run and hike. If I felt like we were the right fit I would keep her but we had unrealistic expectations for how she would fit into our lives. I really want to find her a good home. She needs a fenced property and someone patient and experienced. She knows sit, down, is trained to wait for her food, and has been through a good bit of obedience training but Anatolian's are notoriously independent so she is not very responsive to certain commands and has poor recall. She does well on leash but she has a tendency to leap suddenly if there are small critters. She is a country dog.
