About Annie

Adoption Fee: $50
Australian Cattle Dog / Border Collie
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

I'm looking to re-home our pup - Annie. She's a year old, weighs 30 pounds and is a border collie/heeler mix with lots of energy! She'd really love a large country space with lots of room to run and play. She's spayed and up to date on shots. She had an accident a few months ago which resulted in cropping part of her right ear. But she's all healed now and she's still cute as can be! She likes going for car rides, and gets very excited when we're packing up for a weekend of camping. She loves playing with our senior lab and our cat, she's been exposed to horses and goats and gets along fine with them. She's very friendly towards people. She knows basic commands like sit and stay and is kennel trained. She's a quick learner and with consistent training will go really far. She's not super food motivated but loves attention and praise. She would really thrive in a home where she has freedom to run and play/chase as she needs to be very active! She's great with our senior lab whom she's known since a puppy, but she is intimidated by other dogs and has been known to be aggressive towards them when first meeting. We have used a training collar over the past few months while camping and going out and about and she has shown great improvement with this! She does pretty good with kids, under supervision I would suggest. It's in her nature to chase them as they run, she's never bit my kids (ages 2-6) but she will run along with them and try to herd them. She will try to sneak food from their hands or if it's dropped on the ground but when told no, or leave it, she listens well! She loves to play fetch! She does ok with water/swimming, but it's not her favorite activity. She enjoys hiking and really likes leading trail rides on horseback. It's a very hard decision for us but we really hope to find her a family who loves her as much as we do and can give her the space she needs. Please let me know if you're interested in meeting her!
