Pnut was found on the side of the road by my wife on her way home from work about 5 months ago. He was emaciated and starving to death. We immediately took him for veterinary care where he was updated on all his shots, de-wormed, heart worm tested (negative), and neutered. Pnut is a very sweet boy that is good with kids and other dogs. He is on the smaller side at around 13 lbs and the vet estimates him to be around 4 1/2 years of age. Our intention was to adopt Pnut and give him a forever home with our other 2 fur babies but unfortunately this does not seem to be in the best interest of Pnut. Myself and my wife both work Full-Time and have long commutes to work, and poor Pnut isn't taking the hours of separation during the day very well. Within the last few months he has started showing signs of separation anxiety and overall unhappiness. Pnut will need to be in a home with someone that works from home, is retired, or only works part-time. Due to his anxiety issues he will need an owner who is patient and has the time to dedicate to training him. When we first rescued him he was very good with potty-training, but since he has become more anxious he has lapsed in this area. We believe that once he feels more at home and stable that he will return to his prior potty behaviors.
