About Carmelo

Everyone say hi to Carmelo, a 10 year old 21 lb ( yes he is a small fry) cocker spaniel boy whose best days are now ahead of him. We first saw Carmelo 6 years ago at a local south florida shelter where we had asked for a rescue hold but , to our surprise he was adopted out to an unknown and unvetted individual. Fast forward 6 years and Carmelo found himself again at the same shelter BUT this time he was in awful shape and so matted that he had to sedated so they could clean him up---the poor boy's mats on his legs were preventing him from walking!!!!! True to his kind nature Carmelo holds no grudges and as far as he is concerned that is all behind him now �٪�. This little boy is sweet, well behaved , gets along great with other dogs, pays no mind to cats, and LOVES to go for car rides and walks- he may be 10 but he acts like a 5 year old zipping thru the yard chasing lizards and following his foster mom up and down th staircase to ensure he is not left behind---like most cockers he is Mr Velcro personified.
