Max is a 3 yr old male border collie, purebred but no papers. He has worked with a trainer and knows several commands. He is high energy and needs someone to play with him often-he loves chasing tennis balls and catching frisbees and is super athletic! He is just too much for us and we aren't home enough. Since we haven't had time to work with him, he has started chasing chickens and the neighbor's cows. We believe he is in danger if the neighbor catches him. He has some territorial tendencies with strangers. He has barked at and backed repairmen that have come to the house into their trucks. He has also nipped at kids he didn't know well when they were aggressively trying to chase and pet him. He is very sweet and affectionate with us, but needs more than we can provide. I think he would do well with someone who loves to hike and run and wants a companion. He would also do well with livestock if he had someone who knows how to train him with farm animals. If you have free range chickens you should probably avoid him unless you have experience training border collies.
