About Calvin

CALVIN is a happy, playful 2 year old Border Collie Australian Cattle dog mix looking for an active family to include him in their adventures. Great energy level guy for hikes, runs and outdoor activities with his humans. Loves to play fetch, chase and get treats. Friendly with all people. Housetrained. Crate trained. Dog friendly with all female dogs and laid back/non dominant male dogs. Would be happy with another dog in the home or as an only dog, if included in his human's life. Has learned basic commands 'sit, stay, come'. Walks well on leash, but gets excited at times, so a harness or gentle leader works best. Not destructive inside or outside, unless he gets bored and hasn't had exercise, then he needs to be watched. Sleeps through the night in his own bed. Rides well in the car. Child friendly. We are recommending over 10 years old due to his energy. Not a big barker. Calvin likes all people and being active with them, but he is not a needy, anxious guy. He's always 'smiling', has a soft pettable coat, and his beautful ears sometimes stand up and sometimes flop over - just adorable and unique looking. Has not been cat tested, so will not be adopted to a home with cats. Only homes with a fully fenced yard will be considered. He needs a yard to run and play. Calvin is 48 lbs, neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, including rabies, heartworm negative and current on prevention.
