CAN YOU IMAGINE POOR HUNTER AS A SENIOR NOW NEEDS TO FIND A HOME AND CANNOT LIVE THE REMAINDER OF HIS LIFE WITH HIS OWNERS, NO FAULT OF HIS? ACTUALLY HE WILL BE BETTER OFF ONCE I FIND HIM THE LOVING HOME HE DESERVES. REASON: WIFE HAD A BABY AND HAS NO TIME ANYMORE FOR POOR HUNTER AND 'HE SHEDS', AND SHE DOESN'T WANT TO CLEAN AFTER HIM??!! IM SO SAD FOR HUNTER LIVING HIS LAST PRECIOUS GOLDEN YEARS IN A CRATE!! WHO WILL BE HIS HERO?? Hunter was rescued from a shelter about 6 years ago from a man that was in the military. Why anybody would adopt a dog that knew that they would be traveling all over the place is beyond me in the first place. This, to me, was strike number one, and Hunter would have had a better chance at a forever home, if he would have gotten the home 6 years ago that he deserved. So here we are 6 years later, the man marries a woman, she has a baby and doesn't want to deal with Hunter and clean up after him anymore. I have been heavily involved in dog rescue in Miami for over 30 years. I was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago and have slowed down tremendously, but hearing about Hunter, I was compelled to see to it that he is properly rehomed, and he gets the loving home that he deserves for the remainder of his life. Hunter is a very well behaved dog. We think he must have been abused by a man perhaps as he seems to do better with females. It took him longer to warm up to the adopter. He lives with a large dog, and they get along well. Although I cannot say that he is definitely not good with small dogs or cats I always believe in my policy has always been better safe than sorry so I will not rehome to anybody who has small animals or small children in the house because I do not want to set them up or him up for failure. He is a senior. I would like to find an ideal home for him that would be with adults only and if children they should be older. He is absoluely beautiful. When he was adopted they estimated him to be about six so it is estimated that he probably is about 12 years old now and he is healthy. He would be a great companion to a family...he needs to be loved and needs the attention he is being deprived of. He is house trained. He will do his business outside, as long as you take him out routinely. He is still energetic, very loving & seems to be a happy, sweet dog. He needs tons of love and deserves it, with everything he has been through. He is loving & loves to be loved. I have made the commitment to Hunter to make sure I find him the opportunity to find love. My promise to him now is to make sure I find him the best forever home with one who will love him for the remainder of his life & continue to let me know how wonderful he is doing. Hunter will be your best friend. Will you be his?? We are looking to find the perfect person/couple/family that will give him as much as he deserves. HE IS THE FRIEND U ARE LOOKING FOR AND WILL LOVE ..WILL YOU LOVE HIM? .All shots are up to date & he will be adopted with any/all medical records. He comes to you neutered, microchipped (AND MICROCHIP WILL REMAIN IN MY NAME INDEFINITELY), heartworm negative & on heartworm & flea/tick prevention& if u adopt him you MUST keep him on both & up to date with yearly check ups & vaccines.
