About Brownie

Unfortunately, we need to rehome our elkhound, he is 1 years old. We have had him since he was about 6 weeks old. He has very high energy. He is dominant and very protective of owners and kids. He can be aggressive but with proper training I believe he can be great around other people/animals. He is a very smart dog, and he listens to commands. Problem is we can no longer have dog at the home and our family just does not have time for him and it's not fair to him. He is house trained and knows basic commands. He is leash trained and can also be walked without leash and has no history of running off and attacking humans or animals. He can be aggressive when he sees other dogs while on leash. Not sure what it is about him being on a leash that makes him aggressive towards other humans and dogs because when he is off, he ignores humans/animals. If you have questions about him, please let us know. We just want him to go to a loving home and to a home that has patience and time for him. He is scheduled to go to the shelter on 9/2/2023 and they had already said he would be put on the euthanize list.
