About Elio

Meet Elio !! This guy was so sad and scared at the shelter. He was too afraid to even look at anyone just hid in the back corner. We decided to give him a chance and boy what a complete change once he got to his foster home. He immediately played, cuddled and decided he felt safe enough to face the world. Now he wants nothing more than to be right by your side getting all the love!! Elio is a male, 9 month old, Pitbull type mix. He weighs 26 pounds. He's a smaller guy and we don't think he will get much bigger. He will be neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines as part of his adoption. He is Heartworm negative. This guy is so sweet. If you want a dog that will sit with you and cuddle then he's the one. He likes to run and play as well but he's always up for snuggle time. He loves sleeping in bed with you, anything you're doing he's happy to be there. Elio has done well with other dogs of all size. He recently met cats and does excellent with them. He loves kids so far. He was in bed cuddled up giving kisses to the fosters daughter within an hour of arriving from the shelter. He also did so well when she helped with getting him inside to his recent vet visit. He is mostly potty trained. He has marked his territory in the foster home a few times. His upcoming neutered should help with that behavior. He's been great on car rides. He does decent on a leash already. He's also doing well with crate training. He has not had any accidents in his crate. Elio has a low to medium energy level currently. He's still coming out of his shell so his energy level may increase some as time goes on. He is currently a good mix of playful and cuddly. He loves to cuddly up with you but also to chase and run around the yard with other dogs. He has not had any issues sharing food, treats or toys with people or other dogs. He will play fetch for awhile but often chooses to quit to sit beside you and get all the pets.
