About Hunter

Hunter is an active loving dog, that has been trying to get along with his current family and their preexisting dogs for four years, and has not been doing well with the interactions. Hunter is very friendly with people, but dogs he can be aggressive to, the existing dogs of the family he is a bit better with since he has had four years to get accustomed, but he has periods of attacks when around food at times. Hunter would be advised to be placed in a single animal setting with older children (never been around littles so don't know his temperament, and just to be safe). Hunter knows some tricks, or at least tries to do them at least, but loves to run and play tug of war. Hunter most likely was heavily abused before the current family adopted him from the shelter as there are periods when he will suffer PTSD and might try to run or or hide from/snap at you( never bit) to get away yowling, he just needs to calm down and if you are calm and have a safe space for him to relax he will calm down. He likes to lay on furniture and sleeps at the foot of the current owners bed or in his cage with the door open or his dog bed. If leaving him in a cage during periods of extended leave from the house it is advised to not have anything in the cage you don't want destroyed.
