Tootsie Roll is a petite little roly-poly that was saved from euthanasia in an overcrowded NC shelter. She is believed to be apx 4 years old and weighs about 30-35 lbs. It's clear to see that she was used for breeding and then likely discarded. When she found herself in the shelter, she was obviously not spayed, she was missing patches of fur, and heartworm positive (she is now fully vetted and has been treated for heartworm). Tootsie is very gentle and calm and would make a great lap pet. She is dog friendly but would do great in a home with or without another doggy friend. This is a LOW-to-MODERATE ENERGY dog who, because of her short snout, can get easily overheated and pant a lot so she is not suitable for a very active family. She is housebroken and crate-trained, quiet and non-destructive! An overall doll! So, if you or someone you know are interested in adopting Tootsie Roll. Please contact KENNEDY by email or text at (802)673-9026. NOTE: Tootsie Roll is currently being fostered in PA. Transport will be scheduled for her to be brought to the Northeastern states for serious adopters only.
