About Raffie

Hello, I am Raffie. I arrived in the U.S from China in June 2023. I'm a 3-year old male who just loves being a home with my foster mom. When I came to the states, I was very underweight, but I've put on a few pounds thanks to lots of treats and peanut butter (oh, do I love peanut butter). As a China dog, I eat very rapidly so I need a slo-bowl to slow me down. I am food motivated and will do (almost) anything for a treat. I get lots of attention in my foster home. And I love being an only dog (since I am food possessive with other pets in the house)! I have discovered so many new things here at home - slippers, towels, books, balls, toys - I don't chew them, I just love to carry them around! I've just discovered a big water bowl, the toilet, and toilet paper nearby that unrolls into a big wad that I can chew on and eat! My mom doesn't like that very much, so she keeps me out of the bathroom. I am housetrained and know a few tricks like sit and down. I've working on other tricks, but I find it hard to stay since I want to follow my mom all around the house! I love taking walks and am good on a leash. If I see another dog, I'm quite curious and want to play with them, but they don't always want to do the same. Birds, squirrels and rabbits can really get my attention, but I try to restrain myself (with the help of my mom) instead of chasing them. And car rides - I'm ready to go at any time! I don't mind going in and out of my crate, but once the door closes, I get anxious and will bark to express my displeasure - I'm not fond of being in it overnight. I am also vocal when I see or hear other dogs outside, but I don't mind loud noises like vacuum cleaners or fireworks! I will be good with a family that will show me lots of attention and work on my training. I am a really happy dog and am looking for a family who wants a wonderful companion. *******Adoption fee $900 plus $35 microchip fee*******Raffie is being fostered in the Portland area.
