About Patches

Patches is an affectionate, healthy, friendly Mini Australian Shepherd who has just turned 10 years old. He has been looked after all his life by an elderly lady who now must move into assisted living, so Patches needs a new home. He is fine with older kids/teens and generally friendly to all (except big, scary, male workmen he doesn't know, but he will only give a few warning barks at first meeting). He is housebroken, walks well on a leash, and has had some obedience training (heel, sit, wait for cars, lie down, go to his bed, etc.). He has no major separation anxiety if left alone for up to twelve hours. He is neutered and all his vaccines, heartworm, and flea and tick prevention are current. He has no experience with living with other pets. For loyal, affectionate companionship, he is a great dog!
