About Meeks

Meeks is an endearing little dog with a unique story. He was found running around a local state park for weeks before animal control was able to pick him up. Despite his adventurous past, no one ever claimed him, and now he's on a quest to find a loving forever home. One of Meeks' most distinctive features is his unusual bark, which has often been likened to the sound of a seal. It's a charming and endearing characteristic that sets him apart. While his bark may be unique, his heart is full of love and enthusiasm. Meeks gets along with other dogs & kids. We do not know what he thinks of cats. This little gem is about 3 years old and 28 pounds. Update: Meeks tested positive for Anaplasmosis, a tick-borne disease similar to Lyme's disease. He is currently undergoing the prescribed treatment, which involves a course of antibiotics. Rest assured, he's responding well to the treatment, and his antibiotic medication will be provided for completion once he finds his new forever family. His road to recovery is well underway. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
