About Sunflower

LOCATION: San Antonio, Texas DOB: 08/14/2021 (Estimate) Pssst. Hey! Hey You! Yes, YOU!!! Did you know that sunflowers have this funny way of always turning towards the sunshine, even when it's cloudy outside? My momma says I am the same way and that's how I ended up being named 'Sunflower'. Even though I'm not yellow at all! (or a plant!) And did you know some dogs don't like other dogs or little kids or even cats? Pchooo! Mind blown! I could never not want to be with other dogs. They make me feel more comfortable around humans! (Sometimes if a human has something in their hand, it makes me feel like I need to go hide.) And I think little kids are a blast. They smell fun and taste funny and I would never think to jump on them (or anyone) but I don't like it if the littles run fast around me. Again - hide. And cats are so interesting! But I know they are a 'you break, you buy' item so I don't bother them too much. Hopefully, THEY will just go run away and hide so I don't have to!! I like being happy and I like it when my people are happy. So I potty outside like I'm supposed to and I go in my kennel when I'm supposed to and I turn over for belly rubs and get my face rubbed and give kisses. Ooops! I think those last ones are more for me (hehehe). I'm pretty open to what kind of home I live in. I don't really bark much so an apartment would be fine. I do, however, have some separation anxiety but being in a crate helps and I always get chewies when I go in like a good girl, so that's a bonus. Walking on a leash is okay. I can still get nervous around it and just freeze or lay down, but having another dog around me to show me it's okay (and with positive reinforcement from my human), it's getting better. I give myself a solid B for riding in the car. I'm good at it, but can't say there's not room for improvement.
