A smart boy with has a big heart. Diesel is an AKC Registered Labrador Retriever, chocolate color (with beautiful golden eyes), who loves to fetch his tennis ball! He turned 3 on July 1st, weighs 100 lbs, and has a clean bill of health. He is up-to-date on his vaccines and takes a monthly 3-in-1 flea, tick, heartworm etc. preventative medication (Simparica TRIO). AKC paperwork in hand. He knows commands and hand signals for sit, stay, lay, and shake. We rarely leash him unless walking. He stays inside and has free roam of our house, but his former family was more strict-not allowing him on furniture etc. When outside, he generally stays within our unfenced yard and with his people. He does bark and advance when unknown people approach-we have never let him outside without supervision and don't know where this behavior would lead if unsupervised. He enjoys his people whether playing fetch, going for walks, or chilling inside the house. He'll ring bells at the door when he needs out. Diesel has been a great dog, but has shown signs of dominance with our small children, nipping at them a few times. This, along with our increased responsibilities outside the home, is forcing us to rehome him. His previous family stated that he had compatibility/dominance issues with other dogs. We have not seen this issue ourselves, he generally ignores other dogs when out on walks. We don't have other pets, but his former owners had 2 other dogs. Looking for a good home without other dogs or small children. His remaining food, medication, and favorite toys will be given to his new family. Rehoming fee will vary depending on which other items you wish to take with him.
