About Leo

Meet Little Man Leo, a 4 year old, 6lb Chihuahua. This boy is a total LOVEBUG - snuggly and kissy once he knows you and trusts you! He loves humans BUT PREFERS WOMEN so we will abide by his likes and ask for a LADIES ONLY home. Leo usually attaches to one person thereby becoming their faithful companion and shadow so you will always have him by your side if you allow it :-). Little Leo gets along great with small dogs his size but not large dogs- then again who can blame him since he is so tiny and large dogs can tower over him and scare him. We do not know about cats and we will require a home with NO KIDS- Leo is a typical tiny chi and quick abrupt movements and loud noises scare him - he'd prefer a quiet and chillaxed home. Also, he can be reactive to strangers so SLOW introductions are a must since he has trust issues, specially with men. Despite what may have been his traumatic beginnings, Leo loves car rides and running in the fenced-in yard. He enjoys daily walks and adventures (but can become overstimulated at times, especially with racing trucks, bikes and bunnies :-). Leo would benefit from an experienced adopter- one that has knowledge and breed experience - we feel this will help him build his confidence, overcome his fears and anxiety, and help him become the little star we know he can be. He sleeps through the night near his humans so Leo is a little diamond in the making and will make a pawfect companion - he just needs that special someone with chihuahua experience that will be patient and train him in a loving manner.
