Enzo is a loose and wiggly boy who is ready to have some fun! On a walk Enzo darted around on leash play bowing to handler. Once in the staff's office Enzo ran around sniffing and investigating doing drive by hellos to staff. Perched his paws on staff's lap and lightly mouthed at her arms while she was scratching his neck. Squirmy for body handling but allows it. Enzo loves toys and might even bring them swimming with him! Ran over to staff with toy in his mouth pushing it into them allowed staff to touch toy and played tug. Appears to know sit and down and takes treats very gently. In Enzo's previous home he lived with a newborn and toddler but due to his mouthing it is advised he go home with children 11+. Enzo was surrendered because he is an active young dog and they were feeling overwhelmed. He is a husky and will therefore need daily mental enrichment (Enzo is always ready to figure out a puzzle!) and exercise (he loves to hike and swim!). When attempting to lure Enzo into the crate would stick his head in and then quickly back away. When Enzo saw a cat laying down, he fixated on the cat and became aroused. Enzo's dog sociability was tested in a play group setting. He was mildly reactive behind the barrier when entering the play yard. Once in the play yard, the greeted a male and a female dog. Stiff with another male dog upon greeting. Lots of stare downs with the male dog and each time, they would interact, the interaction ended in mild conflict -- both dogs vocalizing and growling. No further escalation. Much more engaged with female dogs, softer body language and more playful.
