Reed is a 14 month old, intact, purebred Catahoula - without papers. He is very high energy and loves to run and play. He is very playful with other dogs, and doesn't like to respect boundaries, but has never been aggressive with other dogs. He's also very playful with cats, but given the size difference, that doesn't equate the same, so we try to keep him away from cats. He is territorial of his property and people, but is much more friendly to others when outside of the home. He is friendly but likes to pull when on his leash, but has finally started getting better at that. Reed still has issues with marking, especially in new environments, but otherwise, has done pretty well with potty training. He is not being rehomed due to behavior at all. He does need more structure and training than we can provide in our situation.. Id love to have someone foster him while I get out of the shelter and onto my feet, but realistically, it'd probably be better for him long term to find a new, loving family. Please only take him if you can give him that lifelong stability that he needs.
