About Sheva

Look at this amazing transformation! Sheva and her little family came to us from a shelter with more dogs than adopters. Their previous owners did not take care of them and they were sick. Sadly, one baby died before they could reach us. After getting good food and vet care... their happy, confident, friendly personalities are truly shining! Sheva is a Black and Tan Coonhound mix who is about 3 years old. She's loves people and is affectionated and engaged. She adores other dogs and is the perfect playmate for the other dogs in her foster home but cannot live with cats. Sheva can jump some fences so a leash-walk only or home with an invisible fence would make her so happy! Sheva is crate trained and may very well be house trained or close to it. Sheva is a wonderful dog who deserved to be saved and we proud to say we rescued her. Will you be the hero who adopts her and makes her happy ending complete? Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
