Boomer! This incredibly sweet and loyal best boy is Boomer. Boomer is a pyrenees/husky mix, aka cute hairy beast, and he is around 70 lbs. He is about a year and a half old. Boomer has a long, interesting story on how he ended up with us, but the cliff notes version is he was placed with a disabled person to be trained as their service dog. Unfortunately the organization who placed him and was to do the training appears to have folded leaving Boomer with his family, who love him, but need a service trained dog. They continued to work with him and he is now housebroken and crate trained (although we would expect any dog may have accidents adjusting to a new environment and routine) and knows basic commands such as sit, down and paw. He has clearly been well loved and cared for. The family has now been bumped up the waitlist for a service dog from another organization but they are restricted with the number of other dogs in the home and are already being granted an exception for the 2 dogs (there is a limit of one other dog). That means it is time for Boomer to move on and blossom to be someone's companion, ride or die, like he is meant to be. Could that be you? Boomer has lived with other dogs, both large and small, and is fine with them. He would also do well as your one and only. He walks well on a leash. He is a typical young dog in lots of ways (loves to dig in the garden and roll in dirt piles). He loved having a large fenced in yard in his last home. Boomer's adoption fee includes neuter, vaccinations, microchipping. He will also be heartworm tested and is up to date on preventatives. Interested?
