Looking for your new best friend? Arnie may be your boi! You may remember Arnie from a courtesy post in early May this year. He had been adopted early in 2023 by a family in Spokane Valley, WA, and their female Rottweiler wasn't happy about it and instigating regular fights with Arnie. While they were able to work through the issue in May, it turns out that, through no fault of his own, it's just not the right fit for Arnie and they've made the difficult decision to rehome him. Arnie just turned 2 years old and is neutered. We haven't met him in person since he's in Spokane Valley, but he's a very friendly boy, good with other dogs and reportedly good with kids as well - in his original home he was raised with a 6-year-old child and a teenager. We don't have any history of him with cats. Arnie is crate trained and has basic obedience (sit, stay, down) but does pull on leash. He would do best in a home with a family willing to take the time to work with him on training and also engage with him in fun activities like hiking, scent work (shed dog or truffle dog!), barn hunt, or carting. He's a willing partner and adores being one of the guys (loves men!) and can't wait to be someone's bestboy. Note: you might notice in Arnie's photos that his tongue is sticking out in a lot of them, especially when he's sleeping/relaxing. %8DSo cute! %8D He has what's called a wry mouth, where the lower jaw is a little crooked. In humans it's called a dental malocclusion and would be corrected with braces. It doesn't cause any problems with Arnie, except to take up phone storage with all those cute 'tongue out Tuesday' photos you'll be taking! %9D%A4 Apply ton adopt: https://www.spdrdogs.org/adoption-information/ Washington State - no interstate transports. Idaho, Oregon, and BC adopters will be considered.
