About Barney

Barney is a stray that wandered up to a family's home. Owners have not been found so he is now available for adoption. He is in a foster home around chickens and he is not really interested in them. He enjoys car rides, he is friendly with other dogs, and is super smart. He has a submissive personality and will roll over if another dog growls at him. He responds to basic commands - sit, lay down, shake, and speak. He tries to do 'stay' but he doesn't have that down yet. He will catch a treat in the air and is very gentle if you give it to him by hand. He is very laid back and doesn't jump on. He only weighs 47 pounds and we really do not know what he is mixed with. Perhaps hound or even beagle. He is not a Jackson Friends of the Animal Shelter pup. Daphne is his only contact at [email protected]
