About Hera

Belgian Malinois
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Hera is an incredibly sweet two-year-old spayed female, currently residing at Paws Laws K9 Training in Rhode island, a K9 academy that specializes in Illinois, she has been their for the past four weeks but unfortunately the adoption we had lined up for her fell through. and she will be returning to the Animal Rescue Foundation in Plymouth Connecticut on the 9th of august. Which is very unfortunate, I am a volunteer at this foundation, and they truly care about the animals mental and physical health at the facility, but they simply do not have the time or volunteer consistency needed to maintain the training that she has received at the K9 academy. If somone were to seriously consider adopting her now would be the ideal time while she is still in a eager to learn and driven mindset while exiting the k9 academy. Hera had a rough start, originally found wandering the streets as a puppy, and has been patiently waiting for her forever home for several months. Recently, she was transferred to The Animal Rescue Foundation. Hera is fully up-to-date on all her vaccines and has a microchip for added safety. One of her endearing qualities is how quickly she warms up to new people. She is wonderful with both men and women and absolutely adores attention. When she wants to play, she'll gently poke you with her toy, inviting you to join in the fun. During walks on a local trail with volunteers, Hera displays excellent behavior around people, dogs, and even geese. Even when neighborhood dogs approach and bark, she remains calm and nonreactive. For the best fit, Hera's forever home should not have cats or small animals, and it's essential that she is not adopted into a household with small children. Hera's potential is boundless, and she would thrive with an experienced owner familiar with high drive dogs such as Illinois or GSDs. A structured environment and continued training will be essential to her happiness and well-being.
