About Tooti

Our Tooti is a vivacious sweetheart who has shown us a lot of older puppy mojo. She was found as a country stray in North Carolina, and was then transferred to our Connecticut rescue, where she has completely charmed everyone she meets. Our Vet Techs love Tooti! Tooti has quickly adjusted to the chaotic rescue process and has become one of our most beloved fosters. She has grown into a proper Hound busybody with her nose in everybody's affairs. About two years old, Miss Tooti now is ready for her second act!��%BD%A0 Tooti is a sweet girl, who can be shy at first stranger meeting, but warms up into a total lovebug.��%BD%A0She would thrive in an active adult home, with folks who can commit to her training program. She could join a home with older kids, who were taught to be respectful of animals, and she has lived harmoniously with some other dogs. We would need to do an in-person dog introduction to determine specific dog chemistry. Tooti is not a fan of cats.��%BD%A0 Tooti is in excellent health and is at a lean weight of 30 pounds. She appears to be a Plott Hound, with classic brindle coloring. She has the Scent Hound tendency to 'sniff the roses,' and likes to slow down occasionally on her daily walks. Tooti has made great progress on her leash manners and basic obedience commands. Adopters should continue her on the path to Canine Good Citizenship.��%BD%A0 Tooti has good house manners, and is mostly house trained and crate trained.��%BD%A0Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during her transition to a new home.��%BD%A0Tooti is in great health after treatment for heartworm, and will be spayed before final adoption.
