Rex is an approximately 18mo old Anatolian Shephard/Husky mix, that we have been fostering here in Oregon. We took him in from a family member that got him as a puppy that is no longer able to keep him. He's been fixed and we aren't sure where he is on his vaccinations. We think he currently weighs about 100lbs, and is still growing although with the husky mix, may not get as large as a full Anatolian male would. We have been searching for his forever home and are at the point that we must find another living situation for him immediately. We are reaching out to the local shelters and trying to find him a place immediately. If I had to describe his personality I would say he's very 'Scooby Doo' like, a little goofy, playful and loves to cuddle. He would do great as a companion dog - he will shadow you and follow you around. He would be a great fit for someone that has a small farm or acreage, and while he lives with cats currently we feel it would be best if he was in a home without small animals. He knows the following commands: Stay, Come, Lie Down, Understands 'leave it' for the most part, he would do best with an experienced dog owner/parent that is willing to put in the time with him. We have been working with him on his obedience training, but he is still very much a 'puppy' brain. We would keep him if we could, but we are already a full house with several pets. Please consider Rex for your family. Contact for more information and to submit your application.
