We pulled a very pregnant Astro from local municipal shelter, who gave birth a day later. All her pups have been adopted and now it's Astro's turn. Astro is a very young dog herself, just about a year old. She is very sweet and gets along well with everyone: kids, dogs and even cats. She would do well in almost any home. We are needing to move her from her current foster (through no fault of hers), so while we definitely want to see her adopted, we are considering long-term fosters, too. Her foster mom says that Astro loves unconditionally, although she is shy at first around men. She is crate trained, walks well on the leash and is good in the car. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies. Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada. Visit www.pmarinc.org for more information, and to fill out an application.
