Katara is my baby. I love her so much. I can hardly do this, it hurts so much to let go. Katara is a Plott hound, rescued as a stray. She is a beautiful brindle with floppy hound ears. She is not afraid of much, and very confident. She makes the perfect family dog, but so has the puppy awkwardness and can knock kids down without realizing it. She loves to snuggle and sleep by the bed on the floor. We've tried on the bed but she is all legs and takes up to much space haha. If you research the breed or talk to owners, you will learn quickly that a tired Plott is a happy Plott. She doesn't have the stamina Kalani does, but needs lots of outlets (dog park, run, walk, bike ride, hike, etc) a few times a day. Otherwise, I'll be honest, she can be very destructive. Her puppy chewing is still in full force, and needs safe outlets. That is her biggest flaw, lol. But again, of she gets enough exercise, she is PERFECT. Absolutely amazing. Katara also hates kennels, but has come a LONG WAY with that! She no longer destroys them, and she sleeps in hers at night just fine if she doesn't sleep by the bed. It's during the day, if she hasn't had sufficient exercise, that she struggles. She has anxiety about it, but has come a long way with training. Katara is doing great on leash training and heeling. She just needs consistent work. She is very treat and pet motivated, very eager to train and please you. This girl is so soft, her heart is butter. She is very sensitive, and wants nothing mire than to please you and make you proud. As long as she has an outlet (not just a back yard, but actual exercise with you), she will be the perfect dog.
