I unfortunately have to rehome my dog. I had gotten him when I lived with my fiance, but we broke up and I had to move out. It was a bad situation, so I left everything, but took him with me, as my ex was not good to him. I moved into my parents house with him and they have other animals. He does not get along with the animals here (cat and a big F dog). It's a very stressful situation for all involved. He is a 2 y/o red heeler mix, and previously lived with 2 M small dogs with no issue. He has also played with dogs at a dog park before, but I have been afraid to take him since we moved. He barks at new people from what I believe is fear aggression, but likes children. My therapist also believes that it's due to an attachment to me, which makes sense as he is calm when my mother takes care of him when I'm out, but very hyper, jumping, and won't let her near me when I'm home. It's not right to keep him here in a small apartment, and due to my anxiety, I worry that I am overly stressing him and it's a vicious cycle. He is really an extremely unique dog, goes swimming with us, and snacks on all of the foods I eat. When I am eating, I generally look if it's something safe for him, he LOVES oranges, apples, coconut oil, yogurt (recommended by vet), I am sure he can find another loving home and be super happy, just probably best to have stricter, less anxious parents, and probably be the only animal. He is also crate trained, his crate is his safe place and I'll happily send this wherever he goes.
