Marshy's DNA is wild! With a mix of Pitbull, Pomeranian, Miniature Pinscher, and Miniature Schnauzer, he is worthy of the coveted 'Super Mutt' designation. His superlatives don't end there, because Marshy is super sweet, super smart, and super active. Marshy is a privately-owned dog in need of rehoming. His pet parent has disabilities that prove difficult to care for a dog who likes to keep busy both mentally and physically. Marshy is also too much for his sibling, a sedate senior. Though he loves playing with dogs at daycare, he has bitten his brother a few times from being overstimulated. For that reason he should be the only pet in your home. He walks beautifully on leash, enjoys runs with sniff breaks, and loves playing fetch in the water. He also amuses himself by chewing sticks and patrolling the yard. He is wonderful at doggy daycare, whether playing or cuddling with dog friends. Whether it's his environment or his nature, Marshy is usually on alert in his home. His house is close to a busy sidewalk which feeds his nerves. Yet, when things are calm, he is happy-go-lucky. He would do so much better in a quieter location with an experienced dog owner who can work with him, help him gain confidence, and provide exercise. Give him a chance and you'll see that Marshy is an affectionate cuddle bug who likes to curl up with you for belly rubs. Though he enjoys daycare, he loves being with his person most of all. He also likes new human friends, but needs a few minutes to warm up. Tell your visitors not to mind his nervous barking. It is not aggression. According to a veterinary behaviorist, his anxiety provokes this behavior. Above all, Marshy is a lap dog with a heart full of love. He may not be perfect, but he's a really good boy who just needs a different environment. His current owner loves him, but has become unable to provide this active dog with what he needs to overcome his anxiety. Notes: The rehoming fee will be donated to a rescue organization. Marshy is neutered, up to date on shots, housetrained, and takes prescription medication that calms him. (He may be able to taper off these meds once settled in a quieter location.) He also takes Apoquel for allergies. No other pets, kids 8-10+, no apartments / city living. Tall, fenced-in yard - this boy can jump! Agility material! Adopter needs previous dog owner experience.
