About Daisy #sweetest-ever

Arf! Arf, everyone! I'm Daisy, a sweet, ultra-loving, affectionate gentle-giant of a 50-pound brindle Plott Hound mix gal who was born in July 2022. I love people of all ages as well as other dogs. I love to spend my time playing with everyone - whether they be 2-legged or 4-legged critters. We Plotts are bright, courageous scent-hounds while hunting, but we're mellow ladies and gents when at home. When we hunt, we're relentless and fearless, traits that were essential for a hound breed that would track large prey like bears in North Carolina, our home state. We're loyal to our families as well as protective. However, we're rarely aggressive with strangers who have been introduced to us by our owners. We don't adapt well to apartment life because we need plenty of exercise and space to run and play, like a fenced yard or access to a dog park. A woodland trail would be even better because we love to sniff and explore off leash. We're eager to please, so we respond to firm, consistent training. I was rescued from the mean Texas streets by a Good Samaritan who was not turned off that I looked like a mess! You see, my whole body was covered in mange. Fortunately, after months of medicated baths, I've made a full recovery, thanks to the patience and loving care of my rescuer. I was brought to Miss Donna to find me a fantastic new home where I'll be coddled and loved forever. Miss Donna has christened me 'the sweetest dog.' Daisy is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $250 for dogs older than 9 months. An application must be filled out prior to adoption.
