About Athena

Athena is a well-trained and smart girl who lives in a busy house with 3 adults and 2 school-age children. She loves her blanket and toys and is always up for a good game of catch! She is house-trained and crate trained. And knows the following commands: sit, stay, come, down, place-up, heel, let's go, leave it, and night-night (a.k.a go to your crate). She has never been destructive to objects or furniture. However, she loves to chew on her blanket and toys, which we allow. She's good with other dogs at doggie daycare. She is interested in other dogs on leashed walks but only barks if the other dog barks first. Simply reminding her to 'leave-it' and to 'heel' usually solves the problem. Sadly, we must surrender, Athena. She resource guards my mother from my husband, and she is no longer a good fit for our home. We think she would do very well in a home where she bonded with a dominant owner who is comfortable with working breeds. We don't want to place her in a shelter.
