Look at those eyes!!! Nala is a mastiff mix who may be older but no one would guess by her energy and enthusiasm!! She's a rockstar and is in good health. Yay!!! You would think she's a puppy because she refuses to let her foster Great Dane sister and brother outplay her or out walk her! She got the nickname 'Tiny Tank' because she's small for a mastiff, roughly half the height, but is tough like a tank!! She loves to play tug with her foster sibs and her foster humans, she loves her ropes and jumps for them when dangled in the air. She tries to take them everywhere she goes. She loves to rough house, as long as the others can keep up with her energy. Her play growls can be a little intimidating, but she is sweet as can be and has so much fun with life! She can't walk as far as her Great Dane friends, but she loves going regardless! You can't mistake the smile on her face and her gently pulling you to keep up with the others. She loves being in a pack, but would prefer to have all her owner's attention for herself to play and get scratches. She loves belly rubs!!! She prefers big dogs over small dogs and too many friends next to her might be a little overwhelming. Slow introductions are best and will help her feel more at ease. Nala knows her name and can be a tad stubborn but wants to please. She knows all the typical commands and minds when she is asked, even when it's 'no.' She's motivated by getting love as a reward, hearing 'good girl' or getting treats. She is very clever and is already picking up hand commands intended for her deaf foster siblings, which will help in case she goes deaf as she ages. This girl is so smart and well trained. She makes her foster siblings look like hooligans. She may prefer a male owner but isn't picky about who will pet and scratch her. She loves her foster mom as much as her foster dad but seeks his love and approval slightly more. Both get tail wags and a belly to rub. She makes up for her docked tail by wagging her whole body. Nala loves to hide bones, including fake ones. LOL! If she can't get outside to hide her bone, she will improvise by hiding it in her bed. Watch your plushies and towels because she will turn them into toys!! It's all in play, so make sure she has plenty of ropes, squeaky balls and chew toys, so she doesn't get bored. She loves chilling (and sleeping) while you are working or getting chores done. If you need help cooking, pretty much anything, Nala is great in the kitchen! And who doesn't love four extra 'hands' to help, a taste tester and clean-up crew? She may be short, but her nose can still reach the counters to let you know what smells good. She isn't picky about food and doesn't have food aggression issues. But she may hold out for broth or scraps on her dry food. She also knows the sound of a rustling bag might mean treats for her. Nala loves car rides, especially when she can put her head out the window. She loves meeting new friends at dog parks. She loves attention and likes to keep her people in view. Wouldn't you love to find out more about Nala and how much this girl has to offer life???
