About Scarlett

Scarlett is 3 years old and looking for her forever family. She would do well with an active person or persons with no young children. She loves her walks! She needs security, as in a routine. Somebody with breed experience might be the best fit for her. She is protective of her house, but not in an aggressive way, she alerts and barks and will approach the door when visitors come over. She does best with 'strangers' who ignore her and do not need to be in her face. She is aloof with strangers and just kind of watches from the far. She will need a fenced in yard, no tie outs, she does well respecting a fence. She isn't trustworthy off leash, she likes to run and chase. She is food motivated and knows sit, kennel, and bed. She loves her bed, and loves attention from her people. She is very kissy with her person, she doesn't respond well to loud voices. She loves to watch the nature shows on PBS. She has some storm anxiety and does best in her kennel in a dark hallway in her crate with a blanket over it during the storm. She is not a fan of rain at all. She likes to dismantle stuffy toys, loves knuckle bones, and biscuits.Scarlett is living with her sister Star, she is definitely the dominant one so if there was going to be another dog in her new home there would defiantly need to be an introduction. She would probably be best as an only pup. She doesn't want to live with cats, and children seem to make her uncomfortable and nervous.
