About Ivy

Ivy lived most of her life at the end of a short chain. It was not a good life. One day she was attacked by a free roaming dog. She couldn't defend herself or get to safety. That's when we stepped in and got her surrendered to our rescue. She received the medical treatment she needed and was able to secure a foster home. Now Ivy wakes up every morning happy to be alive. She is the sweetest, funniest, most adorable little girl. She has such a zest for life. She is extremely loveable and cuddly. She gets very excited when people come to visit, but will calm down once she realizes they won't be leaving her right away. She has met both children and dogs and has done well with them. She wants to be friends with everyone she meets. It's impossible to meet her and not fall in love. She is the perfect combination of energy and calm. If her person wants to play, she will play with them. If her person wants to love on her, she says 'bring it on!' If her person wants to do nothing, she will lay down, usually in a humorous position, and fall asleep. She always wants to be where her person is. She is a great walking companion and does amazing on car rides. She is an absolute joy to be around.
