About Hippie

Isn't she ADORABLE?! Yes she sure is and miss 'Hippie' has the cutest personality and so so so much to offer....BUT...yes the dreaded but. Life let her down early on and she needs someone SUPER SPECIAL to help her find the amazing wonderful life we know is just waiting for her! Are you that person? The 'I need improvement' parts: *She is submissively shy about new humans or humans asking her to do something she is unsure of so she can sometimes due the submissive peeing. *She is timid and unsure of being on a leash and cowers so leash walking is difficult for her...she gains confidence if her buddy dog is near her doing the same thing *She can be a little bossy about food/treats with another dog (not out and out aggressive just bossy over it) so requires a patient dog that won't attack her for it -- putting her 'in her place' is fine and even can be needed...or just crate her for feed/treat time. *She chases cats and livestock....its genetic lol *She chews shoes...yeah I know but its the truth...with time and education I think she will quickly learn not too. *She lived an early life basically feral so her recall/come commands aren't know...but she sticks close with her doggy friends - however a fenced yard would be best...oh but she can dig :( so we have a hot wire around the bottom of our fenced yard to help her learn that is a no-no :) The 'I-do-really-good' parts: *She is SUPER SMART and very Trainable! *She is EXCELLENT with other dogs! Lived in a foster home with anything from a Chihuahua puppy to a pit bull to a great dane puppy - did fine with everyone and loves her doggie friends and plays super well with them! *Housetrained and Cratetrained *Great inside the house IF she has a doggie-door to go outside her fenced yard and a friend to play with otherwise crate her when you are not present. *Knows a Doggie-Door to her yard and uses it well *Makes the cutest noises and tries to 'talk' to you when she is comfortable and happy *Makes the most adorable flirty faces, batting her mascara lined eyes and gorgeous eyelashes and melting you heart *Loves good belly rubs *Knows how to come and sit for a treat! Then runs back to her doggie bed to enjoy it! Hippie is spayed, microchipped, utd on vaccines and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
