Junior is a healthy, friendly mature man. He enjoys strolls in the yard, laying in the sun and a cool breeze on his face. Junior would prefer a fenced yard because his sight is not what it was in his younger days, and he might stroll too far away and wouldnt find his way back home. Junior just had his dental and for the ladies...no dentures here ! Had a few teeth pulled, but breath is fresh and clean. Junior loves to eat his breakfast and dinner. He might take laps in the kitchen thinking he needs some lunch too. Junior likes to keep his age a secret, we think it is about 12/13. Junior is pretty much blind but sees lights and will follow you when he sees you are there. He can see a bit out of the side of his eyes, just not straight forward. He is also deaf. That is not a problem. When he knows you are there he will follow you and if he is strolling around the backyard and you want him inside, just go up and let him see your hand and he knows you are there, then pick him up and bring him inside. He is not used to being held, he will try to wiggle out of your arms, so if you pick him up, keep a good grip on this little man. He is good with other dogs. Because of his limited sight, he will bump into other dogs or go by them when they are eating. We just make sure junior eats then goes out potty so he will not bother the others who are still eating. Junior likes sleeping in on weekends. He has been used to sleeping on floor, so he wont use a bed. He might be on living room or kitchen floor when you wake up. The only time we have heard any barking from Junior was one time when he was dreaming, he barked. He is a easy going, quiet, mellow guy. Junior is located in Caldwell, ID. Prospective adopters must be willing to travel there if approved/selected to adopt him. His adoption fee is $150.
