Remy is an extremely sweet and loving dog and loves all people and making friends. She is a fantastic trail dog and loves going on hikes and runs. She's very smart, but has not been trained like a Border Collie should, however she does learn very quickly and would be easy to train. Remy is not aggressive, but she can snap when you try to physically force her to do something she doesn't want to (ie: a child grabbing her, someone grabbing her from behind, etc). Remy would do best in a farm or ranch setting where she is free to roam and has a 'job to do'. Although she would thrive in that environment, she also craves attention and affection and would likely not enjoy being a strictly outdoors dog. She does not do well with dogs that show extreme dominance. When not living in an environment that gives her what she needs, she becomes extremely anxious and exhibits neurotic behaviors like destruction, barking, accidents in the house, obsessing over things, etc. She cannot go to a home with a confined yard or in a neighborhood setting. She is very very sweet and we are so sad to have to re-home her, but we cannot give her what she needs.
