Kid Friends: Yes - he has been friendly with children and dogs. He is an absolutely loving boy and definitely one's best friend Leash etiquette: He walks like a champ, he has had lots of practice ... Resource guarding: Happily shares toys and food. He is an amazing and intelligent dog. ... He is very obedient when spoken to and well behaved, understands basic commands! ... Bark/noisy: Will bark only to communicate and sometimes when he is excited and happy Housebroken: Yes ... Leash etiquette: he's been on hikes ... Good in car: Yes, calm in the car! ... TEMPERAMENT MITCH loves to play. He is somewhat reserved. Once he knows he's in his forever home, we believe that he will blossom and his loyalty to you will astound you. He is very attentive to the 'master'. He will watch you and make sure that you are OK. He also would be great with a family, as he already has shown gentle affection. He is very curious and loves watching what you are up to especially if it involves food! He has met several children and other dogs. ... RESCUE STORY The municipal Shelter gave the litter To Paws in Action when they where 2 month old puppies. We don't know much of their story. ... He would suit active people / family with possibly other dog / dogs who love playing and he will reward you with his loyalty and unconditional affection. This litter of puppies has been a joy to have in the shelter. They have been with us for several months, their entire lives, for the most part, and expect love and kindness. Mitch is not fearful, but has not experienced much of the outside world. We believe he will make a wonderful companion for any person or family with the right training. He made the journey by plane from Cancun to SF. Then we traveled by car to Incline Village. He did very well, considering how crazy that is! He's ready to meet you. ... What I've learned about Mitch in the 3 days I've had him: He wants to please. He has met many new people, bunches of kids and several cats. He is friendly to all. A bit shy at first (for a few seconds!) but he quickly warms up. He is reserved a bit but once you are his, you are his. He is a charming dog. Those beautiful yellow eyes! He's quite striking. I wish I could keep them all...:) ... We rescue dogs from the streets of Cancun, rehabilitate, socialize and make them ready to be great pets. They have much love to give. We spend a lot of time with our animals, making them ready for homes and ensure that they are as healthy as possible. The adoption fee covers PART of our expenses. Our animals are special--they have known nothing but love during our time with them. ... We are reducing the adoption fee to stimulate interest in this gorgeous boy but if you can give us the original $600, it would be MUCH appreciated, as even that does not cover our costs.
