About Washington

Meet Washington! Washington is an interesting personality. He is very, very affectionate with people that he knows, and loves to roughhouse, wrestle and play but is extremely gentle when doing so. He loves to chase a ball, amuse himself with toys and is very active. He is wary of strangers initially, but greets well if not grabbed or touched roughly by a stranger. His person will need to introduce him to strangers, but it only takes a minute for him to warm up and want hugs. He gets along with other dogs and loves to play, but if bullied will stand up for himself and set the other dog straight without doing any harm. He is crate trained and house trained. His obedience is EXCELLENT. He knows 'touch,' 'sit,' 'down,' 'off,' 'up' and 'leave it.' He will pull a bit on a leash if excited, but wears a Gentle Leader head collar and does well with it.
