BANJO is a fun-loving, healthy, independent and confident 2.5 years old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix love bug that is looking for an active family in a pet-free home with a secure yard. He loves his people and has been good with kids 10+. BANJO is house-trained, crate-trained and leash-trained and excited to please his handler. BANJO needs space to run or taken on long walks. He enjoys playing fetch with a stick or ball, although sometimes he doesn't want to bring the object back and would rather chew on it like a dog bone. He likes to have his ears and back scratched. BANJO loves getting treats after mealtime and for obeying commands. His favorite treats are pig ears. He has a sit-and-lay-down command and walks nicely on a leash (see video). BANJO also likes to be outside and lay in the grass and chew on his dog bone. Unfortunately, BANJO is not a fan of water or swimming. BANJO is friendly with people, but will bark at strangers until he gets to know them. BONUS: BANJO completed a training program with Scottish Pines. Any courtesy follow-up classes are included in his adoption. His adoption fee is $275 and includes his neuter, vaccines and microchip. His people tossed in a dumpster to die. He was rescued by PAWS Rescue. It was touch-and-go for a while, but after a couple of surgeries, including a broken tail, he was ready for his forever home. BANJO was adopted as a puppy from PAWS Rescue, returned, and then re-adopted in Fall 2021. After a year, BANJO and his fur sibling could not make it work, so he found himself back with PAWS Rescue and looking for a forever home.
