About Twilight Sparkle Belle

Available for adop.on or foster-to-adopt! Meet Bella, aka Twilight Sparkle Belle! Bella is a 3 year old, approximately 35 lb. female Australian Shepherd. Bella found herself at a rural Virginia shelter as part of a neglect case. She was with 3 other aussies, filthy and matted. Australian Shepherds Furever worked with the shelter and 2 other rescues to save all 4 dogs. Bella is a super sweet and medium to high energy girl! She just wants love and to sit in your lap. Bella is housebroken, but still learning what is expected of an inside dog. She is learning that counter surfing is unacceptable and that she doesn't need to be on the furniture. She loves to run around in the backyard, so a fenced backyard is mandatory for Bella. Bella is still learning how to walk on a leash and basic obedience. Bella would do best as an only dog. Although she lived with other female dogs in her former life, she does not like her foster's male aussie. Bella has a high prey drive and therefore is not good with cats or other small animals. This sweet girl will need an adopter who is willing to work with her daily to improve her training while helping her feel safe, secure and above all, loved. We have not been able to test Bella with children, so only older teens for this girl please. Bella has an appointment to be spayed on 6/27.
