Howdy everyone! I'm Aston , a sweet, gentle, laid-back 65-pound yellow lab mix fella who was born in June 2020. Just call me easy-to-please because I get along with everybody -- humans of all ages including kids -- as well as other dogs. Remember that the sweet-faced, lovable Labrador Retriever is America's most popular dog breed. We're friendly, outgoing, and high-spirited companions who have more than enough affection to go around for a family looking for a medium-to-large dog. Like most yellow lab mixes, expect me to be a very loving, companionable housemate who bonds with the whole family as well as who socializes well with neighbor dogs and humans alike. But don't mistake my easygoing personality for low energy: yellow labs are enthusiastic athletes who require regular exercise to keep us physically and mentally fit. I'll need an active family who will take me on daily walks or engage me with tennis balls, tug-ropes, or Frisbees. A Good Samaritan found me wandering the streets with my canine buddy, who'd been hit by a car. So I was named Aston, and my buddy was named Martin. Who knows how long Martin and I had been homeless because we both turned up heartworm positive. No worries! We're undergoing slow-kill treatment, and Miss Donna is covering the cost. Arrange to meet me today so I can cover your face with mushy puppy kisses and leave big paw prints all over your heart. I have all the attributes that add up to the ideal family dog. Aston is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250 (includes heartworm treatment) for dogs older than 9 months. An application must be filled out prior to adoption.
