About Damien

Damien is a very sweet chihuahua mix pup. He is about 5 years old and weighs 8 pounds. He came to the rescue after his human dad passed away. He was surrendered to a shelter with his house mates. I am told he lived in very poor conditions. When he first come to us he was scared and nippy. It took a bit for him to see that we were ok and he would be safe. He had just been uprooted from his home and sent to a shelter. Then he was brought over to the rescue. I am sure he was unsure of what would happen to him. Damien now: Very playful, sweet, happy, affectionate, and a big lap pup always seeking attention. He is great with other pups. He will play all day if you let him. He does have a gimpy back leg (2 other dogs had leg deformities from the home) but it doesn't stop him or slow him down. We believe it has always been that way so he doesn't know the difference. Since he is nippy at first we don't think he is a good match for children. He will be a pup that needs time to warm up. He will need someone who understands that and doesn't push him. All dogs must be picked up in person at a public location in Bonifay, FL. We do not ship or transport our dogs. *Unless stated otherwise, all dogs require a secure fenced yard to adopt. *All dogs will be spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots, are wormed, started on flea and heartworm prevention, and are microchipped.
